MapGIS City Information Model (CIM) Basic Platform
The MapGIS City Information Model (CIM) basic platform is a technological innovation of MapGIS in the aspects of full space, big data, and artificial intelligence. It breaks through the bottleneck of "BIM+GIS+IOT" technology, integrates multi-scale and multi granularity information models of urban above and below ground, indoor and outdoor, historical status, and future, and forms a MapGIS City Information Model (CIM) basic platform with full spatial characteristics. It has achieved the "superpowers" of traceability of the past, perception of the present, and deduction of the future in cities, helping to promote high-quality and sustainable development of cities.
The overall architecture of the MapGIS City Information Model (CIM) basic platform includes four levels and two systems: facility layer, data layer, CIM platform layer, service application layer, as well as standard specification system and information security and safety assurance system. The upper level of the horizontal hierarchy has a dependency relationship with its lower level, while the vertical system has a constraint relationship with the relevant levels.
The MapGIS CIM basic platform can aggregate multi-source real-time full volume big data for urban construction, operation, development, and updates, unify the management of massive multi-source heterogeneous data in cities, build a four-dimensional spatial base for digital twin cities, comprehensively control the operation status of cities, achieve integrated and refined management of cities, and improve the intelligent governance capability of cities. It has three core capabilities: full spatiotemporal data fusion, large-scale scenario analysis and simulation, and cross industry integration applications.
