The National 863 Program's "Eleventh Five Year Plan" Key Project "Grid Geographic Information System Software and Its Major Applications" has passed the acceptance inspection
On October 13, 2012, the High tech Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, together with the National Remote Sensing Center, organized an expert acceptance meeting in Beijing to conduct the final acceptance of the research results of the "Eleventh Five Year Plan" key project in the field of Earth observation and navigation technology "Grid Geographic Information System Software and Its Major Applications" completed by Wuhan Zhongdi Digital Company and other units under the National 863 Program. After reviewing the acceptance materials, listening to reports, watching demonstrations, and questioning, the acceptance expert group unanimously agreed that the project passed the acceptance.
The project has broken through core technologies such as distributed multi-source heterogeneous spatial data access and integration, global management, load balancing, spatial analysis, and collaborative scheduling in the grid environment. For the first time, it has successfully developed a large-scale grid GIS software platform with independent intellectual property rights - MapGIS Grid, which realizes heterogeneous GIS interoperability and online sharing services in the grid environment. The overall performance has reached the level of similar international software, and multiple technologies have filled the gaps at home and abroad. Obtained 9 invention patents, 19 software copyrights, and published 135 papers. The project results have been widely applied in systems such as "Tianmu" and "China Geological Survey Information Grid", and have been applied to the construction of 19 provincial-level nodes and more than 300 "digital cities". More than 600 application services have been carried out, with indirect economic benefits exceeding 1 billion yuan and user visits exceeding 220 million, generating the widest social impact.
The project achievements have greatly improved the management level of massive spatial data storage, large-scale distributed spatial computing capabilities, and resource service sharing capabilities in China. It has laid a solid technical foundation for technological innovation and upgrading in the field of spatial information in China, significantly enhancing the technical level and international competitiveness of domestic GIS software, and promoting innovative services and leapfrog rapid development of the domestic spatial information software industry.
The Development Center of the China Geological Survey, as the leading unit of the fourth project "Grid_SIS_Service System Construction", together with several units such as Suzhou Digital City Engineering Research Center and Suzhou Digital Map Network Technology Co., Ltd., is committed to transforming and innovating the research and development results of the project into practical production and application fields, achieving good economic and social benefits, meeting or exceeding the established indicators, and successfully completing various tasks of the project, thus laying a solid foundation for the smooth acceptance of the entire project. More than 36 demonstration applications have been carried out in typical industries and regions; The application system has a data volume of 5TB. Three application demonstration systems have been established, namely the "China Geological Survey Information Grid", the "Heilongjiang Provincial and Municipal Grid Geographic Information Public Service Platform", and the "Suzhou Digital City Grid Data Platform". The geological survey information platform is based on distributed multi-level grid nodes, multi-source heterogeneous data, and platform environment, and the vertical interconnection of national provincial municipal three-level platforms and the integration of horizontal multi-level distributed geographic information and application services have been achieved.
In June 2011, the acceptance work of the four topics of the project was also organized and held at the Development Center of the China Geological Survey. On the basis of the results of the second and third task groups, the Development Center of the China Geological Survey carried out the demonstration work of the China Geological Survey Information Grid Platform and the national iron ore resource potential prediction and evaluation grid application system, built the actual operating environment in the central machine room, connected each demonstration node through the special network of the geological survey and the Internet, adopted the parity PORTAL technology, realized the autonomy of the portal, shared and coordinated the node resources with the portal resources, deployed 19 grid nodes, including Beijing, Tianjin Geological Survey Center, Chengdu Geological Survey Center, Shenyang Geological Survey Center, Henan, Yunnan (Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, Bureau of Geological Survey), Xi'an Geological Survey Center, Xizang, Hebei, Anhui, Shandong, Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Sichuan, etc. China's geological survey grid system has been basically formed, becoming one of the largest application grids in the domestic industry.
The architecture of the China Geological Survey Information Grid Platform has provided technical support for the construction of multiple business systems, such as the China Geological Survey Data Network, GSIGRID Field Geological Survey Work Management and Security Service System, and the China Geological Survey Production Scheduling System. The development and resources of major business systems are all based on the China Geological Survey Information Grid Platform, which reduces the workload of repetitive development and improves rapid development capabilities.
Grid Geographic Information System software is a large-scale GIS application service software and integrated application system in the grid environment, which realizes the interoperability and online sharing services of main GIS software spatial data in the grid environment. The Development Research Center of the China Geological Survey will continue to devote itself to the application research of the China Geological Survey Information Grid, and comprehensively enhance the sharing and application capabilities and levels of geological spatial information in China based on the actual needs of geological work in the country.
